This afternoon I am presenting the image (taken this morning) of a memorial to a couple who died at sea during WW2:

• Captain Gavin R Logan who died at sea as a result of enemy action on Feb 17th 1940 age 42.
• Gavin’s wife Janie Elizabeth Smith who was lost at sea on Jan 19 1942 age 46.

The memorial can be found in Eastwood New Cemetery.
