This evening I am presenting an image of a grave-marker recording the passing of Elizabeth W.Reid on Sept 20 1947 at age 93.

Elizabeth was the wife of James Lawrie who died June 1885.

This grave-marker can be found in Glasgow’s Eastwood Old Cemetery.

Reid is the Scots form of Read and is one of the commonest surnames in Scotland.
