This morning I visited Glasgow Green to observe the 153rd Clydesdale ARC Summer Regatta on the River Clyde. This event took all day. Benefiting from the bright sunshine I was able to obtain some reasonable images and video clips, a selection of which is provided below.

This rowing club has a history dating back to 1857 and is open to enthusiasts of all ages.

  • Posted information on Love family history to my separate GlasgowAncestry blog.
  • Undertook further ancestry research at Old Cathcart Cemetry where I encountered a family named Williamson about half of whom had emigrated to the U.S.A  and passed away in Wyoming and Massachusetts.
  • Undertook more work on a castle themed tour of Scotland scheduled for August for a guest from the U.S.A.
  • Re-scheduled a private Scotland tour for a couple from the Middle East who have had to cancel at short notice.

Weather in Glasgow is warm and sunny.
