This evening, my theme is the world’s tallest hedge at Meikleour, Perthshire. This is comprised of a 530m long line of beech trees ( Fagus Sylvatica) key facts of which are:

  • Planted 1745.
  • 30 metres in height.
  • Located c lose to the village of Meikleour about 12 miles north of Perth. (The word Meikle is a Scots word for beech tree.)

Elswhere today, I have been busy working on new and booked tours including:

  1. A whisky tour of Speyside for later in the year.
  2. A self-drive tour of the British Isles
  3. A private, family tour scheduled for next week.

Posted information on Campbell Ancestry to my separate Glasgow Ancestry blog and received good feedback from recent small group tour with  a religious theme.
