Christmas Lights at George Square, Glasgow

Late this afternoon, I decided to experiment with some night photography down in central Glasgow.I  travelled down on my bike in the rain but by the time I arrived at the Clyde the rain had eased off providing a reasonably clear night.

My principal focus was the Christmas lights and entertainment in George Square. Official start is not until tomorrow but, nevertheless, the lights were on and I obtained some interesting images as shown in this post.

Image below shows the tall pediment upon which sits a statue of Sir Walter Scott. The actual statue is not illuminated which makes for a strange illumination of what appears to be just a pillar.
