This evening, I am posting information on the Lighthouse in central Glasgow.

Front Entrance, Lighthouse

Front Entrance, Lighthouse, Glasgow

This building is tucked away in Mitchell Lane not far from Central Station. It dates from 1895 when constructed to house the Glasgow Herald Newspaper. It was designed by John Keppie to whom Charles Rennie Mackintosh was apprenticed at the time. The Mackintosh link endures via (a) the Mackintosh Tower accessed via  a helical stairway and which affords panoramic views  over Glasgow and (b) a floor dedicated to Mackintosh design (The Mackintosh Centre).
