Thistle Chapel, Edinburgh

This evening, I am focusing on the Thistle Chapel which is a relatively recent addition to the High Kirk of St. Giles ( St. Giles Cathedral) in Edinburgh.

The Chapel’s correct name is the Chapel of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle. It was designed by Sir Robert Lorimer and added to St. Giles in 1910. Inside can be found splendid craftsmanship of stone, timber and glass.

When touring Edinburgh I invariably include a visit to St. Giles and the Thistle Chapel in the tour programme.
