Violet Crocus at Greenbank Garden, Scotland

This morning, I went off to nearby Greenbank Garden, Glasgow (owned by Scotland’s National Trust) with aim of photographing the extensive collection of narcissus/daffodils there. Unfortunately, the very cold spell has retarded development of the flowers with only a fraction of the bulb population in bloom. However, all was not lost. Inside the greenhouse was a good collection of vibrant flowers, a selection of which are shown here and which serve to add colour to an otherwise dull Spring.

Hopefully, the narcissus will be in flower in a week or so.
