This evening, I am posting images and information on today’s escorted  ‘Storeybike Ride’ centred on old industrial areas around the River Clyde, Scotland.

The group started at Bellahouston Park then:

  • Travelled North-West, crossing the Clyde via a special tunnel.
  • Encountered the Forth & Clyde Canal at Clydebank.
  • Continued North-West tracking the north bank of the Clyde to Erskine.
  • Crossed the Erskine Bridge and returned to Bellahouston on the south side of the Clyde.

Aided by sunny and dry weather, this group was able to connect with:

  • Various aspects of Glasgow’s industrial history ( canal, shipbuilding and railway).
  • Local flora.
  • Public art ( murals).
  • Firth of Clyde.
  • Wildlife.
