Loch Ness, Scotland

This afternoon, I collected guests from Glasgow’s Central Station and progressed as follows:

  • First to Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond. Here we were able to view the historic, quaint cottages, Loch Lomond, Ben Lomond (mountain), Luss Church and historic, Viking era ‘hogback’ burial marker in Luss Churchyard.
  • Next, we drove north, through the Trossachs, Tyndrum and Rannoch Moor to Glencoe. At the latter we stopped for photographs and refreshments at the Visitor Centre.
  • Next, we continued north tracking Loch Linnhe to Fort William with views of Ben Nevis.
  • Next, we progressed up the Great Glen, past Loch Lochy to Fort Augustus on the southern tip of Loch Ness. Here we checked into our lodgings and then availed of a meal close to the Loch’s edge.
