Oban High School Pipe Band, Scotland

This afternoon, I collected guests from Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, which was exceptionally busy with Edinburgh Fringe activity, and proceeded as follows:

  • First a spot of lunch in a hotel on Edinburgh’s South Side.
  • Next, west to Glasgow and on to Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond.¬†At Luss we walked through the charming heritage village dating from 1850 with colourful cottages and on to the pier which provides a good vantage point for viewing the famous Loch, including Ben Lomond (mountain). Next along the banks of the Loch to Luss Church where we paid a brief visit inside and inspected the Viking ‘Hogback’ burial marker from around the 10th century AD.
