This morning, I collected guests from Glasgow Airport and proceeded as follows:


  • First to Balloch on Loch Lomond where we joined a tour boat for a one hour cruise, enjoyment of which was enhanced by the sunshine and warm temperatures.

  • Next to nearby Luss on banks of Loch Lomond.This is a quaint heritage village dating from 1850. We walked through the colourful village, visited the historic church ( where a wedding was in process), viewed the Viking era ‘hogback’ grave-marker and had lunch at a local pub.

  • Next, we drove north through Crianlarich and Tyndrum, over Rannoch Moor to Glencoe where we stopped for photographs.



  • Next, we continued north, tracking Loch Linnhe through Fort William and then down Glen Nevis. In the Glen we stopped to admire a small herd of Highland Cattle and then on down to view Lower Falls.
