Group Photo at Inverness

This morning, we started with a fun photo shoot outside lodgings in Inverness.

Next we drove for about 20 minutes down to connect with famous Loch Ness including a visit to the popular site of Castle Urquhart which is now a ruin but with origins in the 12th century. Excellent views are obtained from the vantage point of the top of Grant Tower.

Next, we drove back to Inverness then south, down the A9, to Aviemore from where went to the Funicular Railway up Mount Cairngorm. At top of the mountain can be obtained views over the Cairngorm National Park from a height of over 3500 feet. Weather at the top proved a marked contrast to that at ground level with winds, chilly temperature, cloud and light rain. However, the clouds did manage to part for us and allow in some sunshine which, in turn, provided opportunity for some useful photographs and a video clip.

We returned to ground level mid-afternoon and then continued south, via a brief stop at Pitlochry, and on to Edinburgh where guests were provided with a short driving tour of Scotland’s capital city before final transfer to the airport to connect with flight to London.
