Inveroran Hotel, Argyll, Scotland

This evening, I am posting information on Inveroran Hotel which is located in a remote spot near Loch Tulla in the West of Scotland.

I encountered this hotel in context of my recent hike along the West Highland Way.

It was quite a joy to stay here, like travelling back through time. No internet access and to get a cellphone signal the caller is required to stand outside. Inside, service and ambience was good. There is a relaxing lounge with a small library and a good selection of board games. All-in-all the experience is akin to the pre-internet 1980s or even earlier, which adds to the appeal. In fact, the hotel is proud of its antiquity with establishment dating back to 1708.

In the evening I was standing outside to make a call and became quickly engulfed by a small herd of deer who were out for their evening feed.

This hotel is very much for the outdoors person. It caters for a steady stream of hikers along the West Highland Way whilst deer stalking is a popular pursuit in the hills nearby. It is not open during the winter.

Location is near Loch Tulla in a remote spot off the A82 near to Bridge of Orchy.

A good spot to unwind for the visitor who is not concerned with day-to-day pressures of internet and ‘phone.
