Inside Ocean Terminal, Leith, Scotland

This evening, I am focusing on Ocean Terminal, a major shopping and visitor destination forming a key part of the re-generated Leith docklands area, about three miles ( 5.0Km) from central Edinburgh, Scotland.

The facility attracts many tourist visitors each year due to:

  • High number of visiting cruise ships which moor nearby.
  • Presence of major visitor attraction, the Royal Yacht Britannia which is accessed¬†via the shopping mall.

Here is a key information summary on Ocean Terminal:

  • Located on eastern side of Western Harbour in Leith Docks.
  • A shopping mall on waterfront location comprising some 70 shops with eating and leisure facilities.¬†
  • Shoppers benefit from good public transport (bus) facilities and car parking.
  • Hotel accommodation is available.
