This evening, I am posting information on Strathfillan in the West of Scotland, an area of dramatic natural beauty which lies between Bridge of Orchy and Crianlarich. The Strath falls within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park.

The video clip above shows the River Fillan which runs through the area before entering into the River Tay, in turn Scotland’s longest river system.

I recently visited Strathfillan in course of traversing the West Highland Way, a long-distance hiking route. Close by can be viewed the ruins of St. Fillan’s Priory.

A scenic spot wherein is located an unusual Wigwam Village used by holidaymakers.
