Millar & Lang Building, Pollokshields

This morning, I visited, by appointment, offices which occupy interior of the former Millar and Lang building which dates from 1902.

To the casual visitor there are few indications from the exterior of what appears to be a nondescript building situated in a mixed area although a careful examination will result in a few clues as manifested by carvings and a statue. However, on gaining access to the interior a visitor is presented with a visual feast of richly embellished and imaginatively designed stained glass complemented by elaborate and exotic carvings of dragons. The stained glass images mainly comprise nautical scenes.
