Dog exercise at Rouken Glen Park, Glasgow

This morning, I ventured out to Rouken Glen Park to obtain some seasonal (winter) images. To date Glasgow and S.W. Scotland has suffered heavy rain and strong winds but has escaped much of the traditional winter snow and ice which has affected the north.

Rouken Glen is a large public park featuring waterfalls, woodlands, children’s play area and a boating pond with water birds. The Park is also an important geological site featuring fossil rich, Orchard Beds (mudstone and limestone) dating back some 325m years.

The site is very popular with dog walkers.

Local temperature has since fallen below freezing and is likely to stay very cold for the next 24 hours.
