Colourful Store, Tarbert, Scotland

This evening, I am posting information on the small town of Tarbert on Harris in the Outer Hebrides.

The Outer Hebrides are a chain of islands located off the West Coast of Scotland in the Atlantic Ocean.Here can be found Harris Tweed weavers, Gaelic speakers, seafood, prehistoric monuments, mountainous scenery, sandy beaches and many sheep.

House for an Art Lover, Glasgow, Scotland

This morning, we commenced our tour with a visit to House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park. This was designed by Famous Glasgow architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1901 but not completed until 1996. Principal rooms are: Main Room, Dining Room, Oval Room, Music Room and Margaret MacDonald Room. Close to the site is a walled flower garden.

Spring Garden at Oban, Scotland

Today was characterised by much improved weather with temperatures up and little rain.

We departed our lodgings in Oban and then drove up to McCaig’s Tower for a high elevation view over Oban Harbour with views of Mull in the distance.
