This morning we commenced our tour in Ullapool, a port in the N.W. Highlands of Scotland.

Weather was relatively cool ( about 10 C) but stayed dry and sunny throughout.

From Ullapool we drove north to Drumrunie and then embarked on a clockwise tour of Coigach and the region immediately north. This trip took most of the day and was mostly  undertaken on narrow, single-track roads on which sheep freely roamed. For about half of the tour we were close to the rugged coastline which allowed us to connect with fresh sea air, cliffs and beaches washed by the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
