Red Squirrel at Balmoral Castle, Scotland

This morning, I collected guest from central Glasgow, Scotland and then embarked on a trip as follows:

First north into central Scotland, past Stirling Castle and the world’s tallest hedge at Meikleour then through Blairgowrie and productive farmlands to progressively higher elevations of the Cairngorms where we stopped for refreshments at Glenshee Ski Centre.

Bothwellhaugh Bridge, Strathclyde Country Park, Scotland

This evening, I am posting information on an ancient stone bridge located in Strathclyde Country Park, S.E.of Glasgow, Scotland.

This bridge is commonly known as the ‘Roman Bridge’ but this description is misleading as the bridge is unlikely to be of Roman provenance, more likely medieval and possibly about 500 years old.
