Elie Beach, Fife, Scotland

This morning, we departed our lodgings in Edinburgh and drove north to South Queensferry to view two famous  bridges, namely the Forth Rail Bridge ( 1890s) and Forth Road Bridge (1960s). There is also a new road bridge under construction.

Promoting Edinburgh Fringe on Royal Mile, Edinburgh

This morning, we departed our lodgings in South Edinburgh, caught the bus into Edinburgh City Centre and then walked up the top quarter of the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle. Here we visited all the key aspects including Mons Meg (cannon), St Margaret’s Chapel, Crown Square, Crown Jewels and Prison.Benefiting from the sunshine we enjoyed excellent views over the City of Edinburgh and Firth of Forth beyond.

Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

This morning, we departed our lodgings in Ayr, Scotland and drove north-east to Edinburgh. this leg took about two hours in sunny weather.
