Tour Group at Brig o’Doon, Alloway, Scotland

This morning, we departed our lodgings in Bishop Auckland, England and embarked on a tour as follows:

First to Roman Vindolanda near Hadrian’s Wall. Here we were able to view archaeology in progress on this extensive site which was first established in the late 1st century AD.

Next. we moved west to view Hadrian’s Wall at Birdoswald.

Next, we drove north-west for about three hours to visit Culzean Castle, a magnificent edifice dating from the 18th century.

Next to view Turnberry Golf Resort which is located on a prime position overlooking the Firth of Clyde.

Finally. we retired to our lodgings in central Ayr.
