Promoting Edinburgh Fringe on Royal Mile, Edinburgh

This morning, we departed our lodgings in South Edinburgh, caught the bus into Edinburgh City Centre and then walked up the top quarter of the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle. Here we visited all the key aspects including Mons Meg (cannon), St Margaret’s Chapel, Crown Square, Crown Jewels and Prison.Benefiting from the sunshine we enjoyed excellent views over the City of Edinburgh and Firth of Forth beyond.

Next, we strolled down the Royal Mile looking at the many tourist shops and connecting with the many and varied acts promoting events at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival which ends tomorrow.

After lunch on the Royal Mile we continued down to Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament. Here we caught the city tour bus which took us around key sites in both the Old Town and New Town.

After the bus tour we returned to our lodgings in readiness for an evening dinner.

Tomorrow we visit Fife and Inverness.
