River Leven, West of Scotland

This evening, I am reporting on today’s small group hike along the banks of the River Leven in the west of Scotland.

The Leven is a very short, but fast flowing river, which links Loch Lomond with the River Clyde. It is only 4.5 miles long, running in a north-south direction.

Weather today was unusually mild, being dry with winter sunshine.

Terrain was relatively flat with the group encountering former industrial sites, whisky casks, Loch Lomond and Vale of Leven scenery.
