Falconry display at Dunrobin Castle, Scotland.

This evening, I am posting information on the popular falconry displays which take place at Dunrobin Castle, on Scotland’s N.E. Coast, about 53 miles north of Inverness.

During the tourist season these popular displays take place twice daily and last about 20 mins.

The avian repertoire comprises about thirty birds of prey including Harris Hawks from the Americas, Peregrine Falcon from U.K. plus owls and eagles.

In Britain, the falcon has long been used as a hunting partner for man and in the right hands can supply a large amount of food, such as rabbits.
