Falls of Dochart, Killin, Scotland.

This evening, I am focusing on the Falls of Dochart which are located in the village of Killin at the southern end of Loch Tay in central Scotland.

Aberfoyle with Ben Lomond is distance.

This evening, I am focusing on Aberfoyle, a popular tourist village in the Trossachs area of Central Scotland, about twenty-six miles north of Glasgow. The name is very old, being derived from the Pictish era (about 1500 years ago) and means ‘pool-mouth’, no doubt influenced by location on banks of the River Forth.

This evening, I am posting information on the Clyde Coast in the West of Scotland with emphasis on the route tracking the south bank of the Firth of Clyde. (Firth is a Scottish name for bay or estuary, i.e. where the River Clyde joins the sea.)
