Narcissus at Greenbank

This morning, I visited Greenbank Garden, south of Glasgow to photograph emerging signs of Spring.

Weather was just above freezing which resulted in thin layers of ice on water and a crisp feel underfoot.

Greenbank is renowned for its narcissus but these have yet to bloom in volume. However, there was an excellent spread of snowdrops in flower plus a few crocus and other flowers with which I am not familiar.

Greenbank House is an 18th century mansion now owned by Scotland’s National Trust, a heritage organisation.
