This morning, after a breakfast of kippers, we availed of a short walk around Arisaig, including the harbour, marina, village and the Czech and Slovak War Memorial from WW2.
Next, a few miles north to Mallaig to connect with the ferry to Armadale, Skye where we duly arrived late morning.
Next we spent time at Armadale Castle and Gardens including the well presented museum of the Isles.
After lunch at Armadale we embarked on 30 miles round trip along a single track road to Elgol, a remote coastal spot offering excellent views of the Cuillin Hills. En-route we encountered superb Skye mountainous scenery, sheep with lambs and Highland Cows on the road.
After return to our lodgings near Armadale we had dinner at Isle Ornsay, a popular former fishing harbour.
Tomorrow we explore other aspects of Skye.
