Elephant House, Edinburgh, Scotland.

This evening, I am posting information on a very popular gourmet tea & coffee house and restaurant which is located in the heart of Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital, at 21 George IV Bridge. Location is easily accessible, being about a ten minute walk from Edinburgh Castle.

The Elephant House was established in 1995 subsequent to which achieved fame due to it’s literary connections, principally the Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling who produced some of her early writing in the back room overlooking Edinburgh Castle. Other famous authors who have frequented the cafe include Ian Rankin, author of the bestselling Rebus novels, and Alexander McCall-Smith, author of The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency.

The Elephant House is close to Greyfriars Bobby and the National Museum of Scotland.
