Al fresco dining in London

This morning, I embarked on a railĀ  journey, first from Glasgow to Edinburgh, Scotland then south via the east coast to London from where I am writing this. Commencing tomorrow, a group of fifteen will assemble here in readiness for a two-week tour of Roman Britain.

Weather today was excellent. In course of the rail transfer down to London I passed through Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Darlington, Doncaster and Peterborough and was able to experience a wide variety of landscapes and scenery including:

Wind farm.

  • Rolling farmland, growing barley and wheat.
  • Horses, sheep and cattle.
  • Rivers and coastal scenery.
  • Renewable energy sites-wind farms and solar.
  • In London, the Emirates Football Stadium (soccer), home to Premier League team, Chelsea, F.C.

After settling in at my hotelĀ  I went out for a walk and obtained images of local sites and landmarks in the WC1 area of London.
