Tonight, I am in Aberdeen, Scotland which is known as the Granite City. Aberdeen is oil industry based. Here there is much interesting architecture.

Glastonbury Abbey was one of the earliest Christian churches in western Europe. In the 12th century Glastonbury was closely connected with European court culture whilst in the 13th century is featured in an early map of the world. Monastic life at Glastonbury came to an end in 1535 when it was dissolved by King Henry VIII.

The Crannog Centre at Kenmore, central Scotland is a reconstructed loch (lake) dwelling from around 2000 years ago. This structure was built using evidence obtained through underwater archaeology at the Oakbank site on opposite side of Loch Tay. Experimental archaeology (crafts) are also on display.
