Dornoch Firth, Scottish Highlands.

This evening, my theme is the gem of a little town  located on the north-east coast of Scotland called Dornoch. The name means ‘pebbly place’.

Owl at Dunrobin Castle, Scotland

This morning, we departed our lodgings in Inverness and drove north on the A9 to the Black Isle (not an island). First we called in at the viewpoint of Chanonry Point where we spotted Bottle-Nosed Dolphins hunting for fish. Next to the attractive village of Cromarty at the northern tip of the ‘isle’. We briefly explored the pleasant village and availed of a refreshment stop.
