This morning, we were forced to re-schedule today’s planned schedule owing to very poor weather on Isle of Skye. We departed our Portree lodgings and headed north via Wester Ross and Loch Carron via Dingwall to Inverness and then on to Loch Ness. The weather progressively improved as the morning unfolded.

This morning, we departed our lodgings at Broadford, Isle of Skye, and drove to nearby Kyleakin to photograph the Skye Bridge and Caisteal Maol (castle).
Piper, Castle Urquhart, Loch Ness
This morning, we departed our Inverness lodgings about 9.30am and then proceeded south, tracking Loch Ness through Drumnadrochit to Castle Urquhart which stands on a promontory half way down Loch Ness. Here we spent over an hour visiting the castle which offers a superb viewpoint for Loch Ness with added bonus of sunny weather and blue skies.
