St Munn’s Church in Argyll, Scotland traces back to a Christian community founded by Fintan Munnu from Ireland around AD 600. Munnu died in AD 635 and was later canonised.The site continued as an important sacred place with patronage from the local Campbell clan.The current building is used for Presbyterian worship.

The Holy Loch is a Sea Loch, a part of the Cowal peninsula coast of the Firth of Clyde, in S.W. Scotland. Dimensions are: one mile wide and two-three miles long dependent on tidal conditions.The name is believed to date from the 6th century, when Saint Munn landed there after leaving Ireland. 

Today, we travelled from Glasgow to Gourock then to Dunoon by ferry and on to Glen Massan in the Cowal Peninsula. Here we availed of swimming in the River Eachaig then back to Dunoon via Kilmun and Holy Loch.
