This morning, we departed our lodgings in Oban and drove south for about 45 minutes to our first stop at Kilmartin Glen, an important prehistoric linear cemetery dating from around 3500 BC to 1500 BC. Due to time constraints we restricted our visit to two sites: Temple Wood Stone Circles and Dunchraigaig Cairn. At the former our arrival coincided with a tour group performing a private ceremony in context of a tour of sacred sites.

Highland Cow, Isle of Mull.

This morning, we departed our lodgings in Fort William and drove south along the coast to Oban. Here, we paid a brief visit to McCaig’s Monument which overlooks the harbour and then connected with the ferry to Craignure, Isle of Mull.

Glen Quaich, Scotland.

Today we embarked on a Scotland tour as follows:

First, departed Dunfermline in eastern Scotland then to Dunkeld in central Scotland. Here we stopped for refreshments, visited the ancient Cathedral and then walked back along the bank of the Rivet Tay.
