Ring of Brodgar, Orkney

This evening, I am posting images and information on five important World Heritage Sites in Scotland.

Orkney

Orkney, in the north of Scotland, contains one of the richest surviving Neolithic (New Stone Age) landscapes in N.W.Europe. Sites include Skara Brae, Ring of Brodgar, Stones of Stennes and Maes Howe.

Mackintosh design at Reid Building, Glasgow School of Art

This morning, I collected a two persons from lodgings in Glasgow and embarked on a tour of sites associated with famous Glaswegian architect and designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
