This evening, I am focusing on the charming, historic town of Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders, about fifty miles south of Edinburgh. This town conveniently sits on the main route linking England and  Scotland and hence attracts many visitors.

This evening, I am focusing on Abbotsford House, a major visitor attraction on the south bank of the River Tweed near Melrose in the Scottish Borders. Location is about one hour south of Edinburgh.

Lanholm and River Esk, Scottish Borders.

This evening, I am focusing on Langholm in the Scottish Borders region, about seventy-eight miles south of Edinburgh.

This town (population of about 2500) has an interesting history most prominent aspect of which is involvement with the Border Reivers era and Clan Armstrong in particular. Today the town is closely associated with Clan Armstrong which in turn is identified with nearby Gilnockie Tower. A summary of history and related facts:
