This evening, I am posting information on the ruined Auld Kirk (‘old church’) at Alloway, Ayrshire, Scotland. This small ruin has achieved great fame and status as a visitor attraction due to connection with Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns who was born a short distance away.

Shakespearean Actress at Shakespeare’s Birthplace.

This morning, we departed York at 09.45 am and drove south to Stratford-upon-Avon in the English Midlands region, arriving at 12.45pm.

Upon arrival our first priority was Shakespeare’s Birthplace in Henley Street where we spent about one hour.
