Dunollie Castle, Oban, West of Scotland.

This afternoon, I am focusing on the romantic ruin of Dunollie Castle which occupies a rocky promontory about one mile from the harbour town of Oban on the west of Scotland. The castle is open to the public but good views are obtained from the ferry en-route to Mull. This video clip puts the castle in context of Oban Harbour.

Quiraing, Isle of Skye

Today was characterised by persistent rain in the morning which progressively changed to a dry but overcast afternoon.

We departed our lodging sin Fort William and drove towards Mallaig stopping at Glenfinnan with intention ofm seeing the sights there. Unfortunately, the visibility was too poor for photographs and image below of the viaduct is from writer’s archive.

Glamis Castle, Angus, Scotland

This morning, we departed our lodgings near St Andrews, drove across the Tay Bridge to Dundee then to Glamis Castle in the county of Angus. Trip took about 45 mins.
