Today, we toured Glasgow, Scotland with focus on Glasgow Cathedral, Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, Riverside Museum and Govan Old Church.

The Roman remains at Dunning represent the northern rampart of a fortified marching (short-term) camp which was enclosed within a shallow ditch and palisade constructed by Roman troops.The site probably dates from the Flavian campaigns of the AD 80s and as such may be contemporary with the Inchtuthil site. This location is a candidate for the site of the famous battle of Mons Graupius in AD 83 or AD 84.

Today, we travelled from Kirkwall on Orkney to Inverness in the Scottish Highlands via Easter Ross where we visited Portmahomack and Shandwick in connection with the Pictish Trail.
