Tonight I am posting posting information on a recent (June 9th and 10th) small group hike along the line of Hadrian’s Wall in northern England where the village of Chollerford, near Chesters Roman Fort,  was used as a base.



Temple of Mithras, Hadrian’s Wall, England.

This evening, I am focusing on the Temple of Mithras which can be found close to the Fort of Brocolitia (Carrawburgh) to the west of Walwick on Hadrian’s Wall.Location is about thirty-five miles east of Carlisle. There is a small car park from where access can be achieved on foot, albeit the terrain can be wet and muddy.
