Today, at Greenbank House garden, I was presented with a wide array of colourful flowers spanning a spectrum comprising pink, cream, purple, white, copper, blue, violet and scarlet. Despite being late season I found the display (depth and range) superior to that usually available during the summer period with added dimension of the harsh and angled sunlight.

This evening, I am focusing on Greenbank House, a heritage property located near Clarkston to the south of Glasgow, west of Scotland, and best known for its garden which remains very close to its original 18th century style and shape. Although the house is not open to the public on a regular basis the garden is and the surrounding area is popular with dog walkers. A brief history of the house is as follows:

Today, Scotland, in common with many parts of the U.K., was paralysed by a harsh winter storm which resulted in cancelled trains, buses and flights. Over 1600 schools were closed (affecting 450,000 students) while many colleges, universities and businesses were also closed.
