Clydesdale Horse, Pollok House

This morning, I collected guests at Glasgow Airport at 7.00 am and then embarked on a trip as follows:

First to Pollok Park and Pollok House. Here we saw Highland Cows, Clydesdale Horses, a grand mansion form 18th century and colourful gardens.

Hiking group on way to Paisley, Scotland

This evening, I am posting information on today’s small group hike which followed the route of the White Cart Water (river) from Pollok Park in Glasgow to Paisley, both being in the West of Scotland. Length of route was about six miles. Hike benefited from blue sky and brilliant sunshine, albeit with low elevation, winter sun which militated against photography.

Pollok House, Glasgow, Scotland.

This evening, I am posting information on Pollok House in Glasgow, Scotland. This building is a Palladian mansion built for John Maxwell. It was begun in 1747 by William Adam and finished under the direction of his son, John. Pollok House is situated above the White Cart Water (river) in the 458-hectare grounds of the Pollok Estate. Moreover, Pollok Park extends to 146 hectares.
