Cromarty, a delightful and historic coastal village located at northern tip of the Black Isle (not an island). Cromarty is some 23 miles north of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. The village is endowed with churches, shops and various types of accommodation. A ferry crossing to Nigg, opposite operates during the summer months.

Today, we travelled from Inverness to Scrabster visiting the following en-route: Black Isle; Chanonry Point; Cromarty; Dunrobin Castle; and Balbea.

This evening, I am posting information on the community based activity of coastal rowing which has experienced strong growth following original boat design in 2009 at the Scottish Fisheries Museum, Anstruther, Fife.
