This evening, I am posting information on Rannoch Moor, a rugged and bleak section of upland scenery in the Scottish Highlands which most visitors encounter on the A82 highway between Glencoe and Bridge of Orchy. There is also a rail trip, information on which can be found here.

This morning, I collected tour group from Leith, near Edinburgh and embarked on a trip as follows:

  • First, north to Dunkeld where we stopped for refreshments and a break. This is a popular country town on banks of the River Tay plus varied shops.

This morning, we departed our lodgings in Fort William on banks of Loch Linnhe and ventured down nearby Glen Nevis, a scenic ride through a valley populated with sheep and Highland Cattle at end of which is a waterfall known as Lower Falls.This route covers the final segment of the West Highland Way hiking trail.
