This evening I am presenting some images of Kirk Lane Cemetery. This is an absolutely fascinating place, dating from 1764 and contains many 18th century grave markers packed full of local history.

The cemetery comprises an oasis in the midst of a low/middle income area which is undergoing extensive rebuilding.

This is a typical old grave marker and is less eroded than most.

This evening, I am posting some images of the Clyde at Glasgow. The river and the City are synonymous as historically the river has been a major contributor to Glasgow’s evolution and wealth, principally through trade and shipbuilding.

The Clyde at Glasgow seems vey quiet with very little pleasure or commercial traffic. It is possible to have a gentle walk or cycle ride along the river’s edge.

This evening I am presenting some images of Prestwick. This is a town on the coast just south of Glasgow and perhaps best known for its airport which used by budget carriers. There are also some fine golf courses and beaches.
