This morning, we departed our Dunkeld lodgings and, with benefit of fine weather, progressed as follows:
First, via Dalguise, Grandtully and Aberfeldy to Croft Moraig prehistoric stone circle, one of the best such examples on mainland Scotland and which dates back about 5000 years.

Earl this morning I drove up fro Glasgow to Dunkeld in Perthshire, central Scotland. This is one of my favourite spots. At this time of the year the trees are magnificent as the leaves change from shades of green to a whole range of browns, golds, russets and other variations. Unfortunately, the weather today was appalling with heavy rain in both morning and evening. However, I did manage to secure a few decent shots of the trees and scenery in transition to winter. These were taken near a small village called Dalguise which is known for its generous endowment of trees of all shapes, sizes and types.

This morning, I collected guests from Edinburgh Marriott (Dalmahoy) at 9.00 am and proceeded north across Forth Road Bridge to East Neuk of Fife as follows:
- Lower Largo where was born Alexander Selkirk, the real role model for Robinson Crusoe. We stopped at the sandy beach here to admire the scenery.

- St. Monans with its historic church the interior of which features model ships suspended from the ceiling.
