Huntingtower Castle, Perth, Scotland

This evening, I am posting information on Huntingtower, an intriguing castle near Perth in central Scotland.

Key features are:

  • Comprised of two,formerly detached, substantial tower houses made to look like a single mansion in the late 17th century. The close proximity of the two tower houses built at roughly the same time is very unusual. Reason may be connected with division of lands between two sons of Sir William Ruthven in 1480.
