Quarriers Village, Renfrewshire, Scotland

This evening, I am posting information on Quarriers Village in Renfrewshire, near Glasgow, Scotland.

The village was the heart of the Quarriers organisation, a not-for-profit charity established in the 19th century, initially for orphaned and destitute children from Glasgow. Today, Quarriers has evolved into a major social care charity providing support and care for adults and children with a wide range of physical or learning disabilities and their families.

Tonight, I am reporting on today’s small group hike across a snow-covered landscape in S.W. Scotland, from Bridge of Weir to Langbank on River Clyde via Quarrier’s Village and Kilmacolm.Distance covered was about 8.1 miles.
